**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** The Machinist is responsible for the set-up, layout, and operation of turning mills, specifically Haas models. Utilizing CNC programming, the Machinist will be engaged in prototype work and small production runs for the Aerospace and Medical industries. The role involves working with a variety of materials, including plastics and metals. **Responsibilities** + Set up and layout: Fit all parts, tools, and machines in support of the machining process. Layout work from blueprints, sketches, and written instructions. Load correct programs onto the machine using G&M codes. Adjust cutting speeds, depths, feed rates, and tool positions based on work sketches. Set geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Apply proper holding pressure on vises and collets. + Machine operation: Operate mill turning machine and perform tool changes during operation. Select and load correct fixtures for the job. Monitor machine speeds and feeds. Modify and maneuver machine tools according to instructions through a toolpath. Remove excess material to achieve the finished product. + Quality check: Inspect parts using instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and dial indicators. Verify documentation accuracy. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 2 years of experience with Haas machines. + Comfortable machining various materials in the Aerospace, Nuclear, and Medical industries. + Proficient in blueprint reading, CNC mill operation, and machining techniques. + Troubleshooting and mechanical skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Associates degree or completion of a technical program. + Lathe experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including significant premium contributions towards health insurance plans. The facility includes multiple mills with ample space for operation, surrounded by office spaces and a breakroom. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
