Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Assembler/Machinist with manual machining experience to assemble mechanical components and modify parts using traditional machining tools. The ideal candidate must be able to read blueprints, use precision instruments, and work independently or in a team.
ResponsibilitiesOperate manual lathes, mills, and drill presses to modify or fabricate parts.Assemble mechanical sub-assemblies and full units with precision.Interpret complex technical drawings to guide assembly and machining tasks.Use grinders, sanders, and other finishing tools effectively.Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments for alignment and fitting.Essential SkillsProficient in manual machining techniques.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Skilled in mechanical assembly.Expertise in using precision instruments.Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical components.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move heavy loads with equipment.Manual dexterity and precision.Safety-conscious in environments with active machinery.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is an industrial shop floor with active forklift traffic and the use of heavy machinery and manual tools. You may be required to stand or sit for extended periods in a collaborative and safety-focused team setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blauvelt, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
