Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist with a minimum of six months of CNC machining experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to accurately read blueprints and shop drawings and perform light edits using Fanuc controls at the machine. Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers to assure tolerances is essential.
ResponsibilitiesReview blueprints or specifications for a job.Select tools and materials for the job.Calculate where to cut or bore and determine how much material to remove.Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing operations.Mark the work piece to show where cuts will be made.Position work piece in the drill, mill, lathe for cutting.Monitor and control the feed and speed.Ensure the work piece is properly lubricated and/or cooled.Replace dull cutting tools.Conduct quality inspections using micrometers and calipers.Essential SkillsMinimum of 6 months CNC machining experience with mills and lathes.Ability to accurately read blueprints and shop drawings.Proficiency in light edits using Fanuc controls at the machine.Experience using micrometers and calipers to assure tolerances.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociates Degree in Machining Technology preferred but not required.Open to individuals with CNC schooling experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This large-scale machine shop can experience varying temperatures, being cold in the winter and hot in the summer. It is generally clean and well-maintained. Employees work in a supportive environment with shifts available Monday through Friday, including first shift from 7:00AM to 3:00PM, second shift from 3:00PM to 11:00PM, and third shift from 11:00PM to 7:00AM. Flexibility to work all shifts is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
