Coperion is now hiring a Machining Assembler to join our team in Kansas City, MO! The Machining Assembler ensures the accurate assembly, inspection, and shipment of high-quality mechanical products, supporting efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. **Schedule: Monday through Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm** **Work You'll Do:** + Assemble, align, adjust, and fit mechanical equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications. + Inspect and test valves to ensure compliance with quality standards prior to shipment. + Work with close tolerances and fits to meet engineering and operational requirements. + Collaborate with supervisors and planning teams to ensure timely completion of assembly projects and maintain proper inventory levels. + Train new employees on safe and efficient assembly methods, adhering to safety and PPE protocols. **Basic Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED required. + 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment. + Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. + Proficiency with basic hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, taps, and gauges. + Mechanically inclined + Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., and comfortable with bending and kneeling. + Knowledge of inspection techniques and safety regulations. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working with valves or similar mechanical components. + Familiarity with testing procedures and quality assurance practices. + Prior experience training or supervising new employees. + Knowledge of inventory management practices.
