Summary:
The job of the Setup Tech is to support the production line by adhering to the designated production/ mold change schedule. To ensure that a quality bottle is ready for the production team to begin packing and understanding their role in keeping the machines up to maximum efficiency through their mold change and setup processes. Above all remaining committed to Safety and ISO.
The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $25.00/hr; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $25.00 and $27.00/hr.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Able to lift 35 pounds or more on a regular basis.
• At least 2 years in a plastics environment with strong exposure to injection blow mold machines.
• Understanding of use and application of basic hand tools.
• Understanding of use and application of power tools.
• Ability to maintain personal tool box with needed tools to complete daily operations.
Job Responsibilities:
• Make Safety a #1 priority.
• Keep Setup shop and current working area clean and safe.
• Communicate with Maintenance Manager as to the needs of the shop.
• Communicate with Quality and the Production teams on all pertinent information about impending bottle run.
• Understand of the working parts of machines relating to molds and tooling.
• Knowledge of how to disassemble, clean, inspect and reassemble the machine heads and molds on all SBM & EBM machines.
• Other duties as assigned.
