Job Title: Machine Set Up Operator
Job Description
The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate press brake machines (CNC and/or manual).Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.Select appropriate tooling, dies, and materials for each job.Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality.Make machine adjustments to meet dimensional tolerances.Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.Document production data and report issues or defects.Essential Skills
Manual operation of machinery.Blueprint reading and interpretation.Micrometer usage.Machine operation and setup.Experience with press brake machinery.Ability to use calipers.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
Work in a well-lit building full of character, constructed in 1906 with several windows. While temperatures may vary with the seasons, fans and open doors are available in summer months alongside cold drinks and frozen treats. The standard shift is 5:00am - 1:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed. Some days may require a 6:00am start. Flexibility for overtime is appreciated.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
