**Job Title: Machine Repair Technician** Job Description The Machine Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing presses during the 3rd shift. We are seeking an individual with over 7 years of experience who can effectively manage preventative maintenance tasks, particularly within the Robotic Weld department. Responsibilities + Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment. + Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment. + Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs. + Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices. + Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. + Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery. + Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. + Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. + Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems. + Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary. + Record repairs and maintenance performed. + Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment. + Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery. + Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators. + Possess electrical troubleshooting skills in both low and high voltage systems. + Read ladder logic as well as PLC logic controls. + Have knowledge in preventative maintenance and press repair. Essential Skills + 7+ years in an industrial automotive maintenance facility. + 3-5+ years working in a stamping facility on presses (presses such as Fagor, HMS, Verson, Moeller, Schulers ranging from 600 - 1000). + Troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatics systems. + Mechanical skills involving conveyors, pumps, and valves. + Welding and fabricating skills. + Experience with Fanuc robot troubleshooting, including edits, home, and teach pendants. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Electrical troubleshooting (up to 480V). + PLC troubleshooting (AB & Siemens). Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a stamping and robotic weld facility located in an older building with 42 presses and robots. The facility operates on a lean staffing model across two shifts. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and sleeves. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Center Line, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $33.90 - $33.90/hr.
