Machine Repair Technician
**Job Title: Machine Repair Technician** **Job Description** The Machine Repair Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing presses, primarily on the 3rd shift. The position requires a seasoned professional with over seven years of experience, capable of executing preventative maintenance tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of the Robotic Weld department during the night shift. **Responsibilities** + Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery and equipment. + Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment. + Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts for repair. + Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters and other testing devices. + Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. + Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery. + Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. + Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. + Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems. + Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary. + Document repairs and maintenance performed. + Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment. + Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery. + Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators. + Electrical troubleshooting skills in both low and high voltage systems are required. + Ability to read ladder logic as well as PLC logic controls. + Knowledge in preventative maintenance and press repair. **Essential Skills** + 7+ years in an industrial automotive maintenance facility. + 3-5+ years experience in a stamping facility working on presses. + Troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatics. + Mechanical skills including conveyors, pumps, valves. + Welding and fabricating. + Experience with Fanuc robots troubleshooting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Electrical troubleshooting (up to 480V). + PLC troubleshooting (AB & Siemens). + Must have own toolbox with basic tools. + Steel toes and safety glasses are required. **Why Work Here?** The facility offers a union environment with yearly salary increases and 14 paid holidays. Currently running two shifts, the work primarily takes place on the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am, Sunday through Thursday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Center Line, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $33.90 - $33.90/hr.
