**Machine Repair Technician** + **_Multiple openings on 1st and 2nd shift_** + **_Grand Rapids_** + **_$26-$32/hour_** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Machine Repair Technician for a 1st shift position from 7 AM to 3 PM. The role involves maintaining and repairing machines to ensure smooth operations for machine operators. You will work with vacuum forms, trim presses, extruders, and robots. Responsibilities include handling emergency floor calls, performing preventive maintenance (PMs), and undertaking various projects. Responsibilities + Maintain and repair machinery, including vacuum forms, trim presses, extruders, and robots. + Respond to emergency floor calls and perform preventive maintenance and projects. + Engage in machine repair tasks such as welding guardings or platforms. + Operate drill presses and manual mills for repair work. + Perform basic facility maintenance, including changing light bulbs. + Learn electrical maintenance skills, with training provided if necessary. Essential Skills + Experience in machine repair. + Proficiency in MIG welding on steel. + Ability to operate drill presses and manual mills. + Experience in reading electrical schematics and blueprints. + Proficiency in preventive maintenance, including greasing, cleaning machines, and conducting visual inspections. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Troubleshooting PLCs (Allen Bradley & Siemens). + Troubleshooting robots (ABB & Fanuc). Why Work Here? The facility may be noisy and some areas can be dirty. Ear protection is mandatory on the floor to ensure safety. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
