**Job Title: Mix Room Operator**
**Job Description**
In this role, you will perform all duties related to the operations of the Mix Room, ensuring accurate and efficient blending processes while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow recipe blending instructions to accurately issue materials by lot and physically mix/blend recipes and batches.
+ Maintain accurate inventory lots and storage conditions for ingredients.
+ Operate Refractometer and record accurate brix, conducting organoleptic testing on every batch.
+ Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) to pick and stage batches by FIFO and notify management of any discrepancies.
+ Complete CIP circuits including chemical checks, hand washing, and other steps as per SSOPs.
+ Operate all Mix & Blending equipment safely according to SOPs, including forklift operations.
+ Report mechanical issues to the Mix Room Manager or Maintenance Staff.
+ Adhere to Company Food Safety, Food Quality, GMP, and HACCP rules and requirements, stopping production to report any issues to Management or QC.
+ Unload tankers following all safety procedures.
+ Adhere to Mix Room schedule and complete jobs within the allotted time.
+ Maintain communication with Mix Room Manager, maintenance, and QC to ensure production standards are met.
+ Complete required Batch & SSOP documentation.
+ Operate Yard Tractor to place and remove tankers as needed.
+ Check inventory, print lot tags, complete physical counts, receive inventory, and create batches as needed in Deacom.
**Essential Skills**
+ 6+ months of machine operation experience, preferably in a GMP environment.
+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs on occasion.
+ Ability to bend, twist, and crouch consistently.
+ Proficient communication skills in oral, written, and reading formats.
+ Capability to learn forklift driving and operating systems such as WMS, Red Zone, and Deacom.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 1-2 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
+ Food industry experience is a plus.

**Work Environment**
Work in a GMP regulated environment within a clean and well-maintained 135,000 sq. ft. facility in Hopkins. The facility is temperature controlled, ensuring comfortable working conditions. Shifts available include 1st Shift from 5 am to 1:30 pm Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift from 1 pm to 9:30 pm Monday-Friday with a $2/hr shift differential, and 3rd Shift from 9 pm to 5:30 am Sunday-Thursday with a $4/hr shift differential.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
