Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will operate manufacturing equipment according to work instructions, quality plans, and internal policies. You will also be responsible for quality inspections on incoming products, in-process manufacturing, and finished goods. Forklift and industrial vehicle operation following OSHA guidelines is also part of the role. You will need to interact with computer systems for production and logistics functions and contribute to maintaining and improving manufacturing area cleanliness. This role requires a positive attitude and effective communication with all levels of the organization. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and standing for extended periods. The role may require working various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with work instructions and quality plans.Operate forklift and other industrial vehicles following OSHA safety guidelines.Perform quality inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished products.Interact with computer systems for production and logistics functions.Maintain and improve manufacturing area cleanliness.Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods.Work various shifts including off shift, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Skills

Experience in machine operation and assembly.Proficiency in using general labor tools and packaging techniques.Ability to operate forklifts and use tape measures.Experience with CNC, calipers, and mechanical drawings.Understanding of quality control procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with CNC or other automated equipment is a plus.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeAbility to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings.Proficiency in using measurement hardwareExperience with hand tools.Capability to earn and maintain a forklift operator’s license or other industrial vehicle certifications.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
