We are seeking a skilled Machine Saw Operator to apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to work order specifications. The role requires maintaining processing equipment in a safe and clean condition and ensuring the processing area is kept orderly. Accurate information entry and completing any other assigned tasks are essential responsibilities.
ResponsibilitiesOperate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.Pull, inspect, and verify product before processing.Properly and safely set up equipment to run material to set up note specifications.Process set up notes according to work order specifications.Verify that product meets set up note specifications per written work instructions and record measurements.Communicate with appropriate sales representatives regarding changes or clarifications to orders.Perform equipment preventive maintenance.Properly enter or delete material identification tags per written instructions.Assist in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work order.Maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.Properly operate weighing scales and record inspection measurements.Identify, record, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming material.Provide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.Complete job responsibilities safely, avoiding unsafe situations for oneself or others.Train others when required.Assist in activities related to lean and/or quality.Essential Skills2+ years of saw operation experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.Inventory control utilizing mathematical skills.Ability to read rulers and interpret blueprints.Experience with saws such as waterjet, bandsaw, drill press, or CNC.Ability to read and write.Basic math skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry.Previous forklift experience.Computer literacy.Use of handheld measuring tools.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic work environment that values safety, efficiency, and quality.
