This position is responsible for the packaging of manufactured products. Packer responsibilities are in a support role for several areas of manufacturing, including, but not limited to; injection molding, IML, quality and assembly. Responsibilities will include: (but not limited to the following):
Responsibility to safety proceduresVisually inspect, place into box (as necessary), and palletize finished goods to customer specificationsUse lifting assist device where applicableTape and make boxes for work centers, insuring to keep the proper quantity available at all timesMonitor quality (deviations, comparing comparators)Document daily production values, including scrap quantities and reasonsOperate pallet jack, pushing/pulling full pallets on pallet jack and transport to elevatorCleaning/housekeeping; sweeping, cleaning machines. Maintain assigned area in a fashion consistent with 5S principalsStack cartons from 25-40 #’s on palletsNotify shift leader and/or technical employees if a work center is experiencing consistent issues, or has stopped cyclingRecord accurate production data that includes all necessary information needed for tracking purposesAssist with the flow of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods to and from the production area.Participate in the training of new employeesSupport and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.Report unsafe conditions and behaviorsOur ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
