**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a Kinetic machine to bend, form, or straighten materials according to work orders and customer specifications. The role requires ensuring customer satisfaction with quality, quantity, and timely delivery while prioritizing safety and maximizing productivity. Training will commence on the 1st shift for a couple of weeks before transitioning to the 2nd shift.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate the Kinetic machine to meet quality and customer specifications.
+ Set up machinery and ensure efficient production processes.
+ Inspect materials for quality compliance using measuring devices and drawings.
+ Handle materials using cranes and ancillary lifting devices.
+ Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of machine operating experience.
+ Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
+ General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
+ Attention to detail and ability to inspect material for quality conformance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in tooling, forklift, crane operation, plasma cutting, and torch cutting.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Work Environment**
The 2nd shift operates from 4:15 PM to 2:45 AM, with training on the 1st shift from 5:45 AM to 4:15 PM. The work environment is not climate-controlled and spans a large campus with multiple buildings. Dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, and a t-shirt or long sleeves based on weather conditions.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
