Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating production machinery in a fast-paced food production environment, specializing in tortilla manufacturing. You will ensure the efficient operation of mixing machines and other equipment while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

ResponsibilitiesTurn on equipment and verify its proper operation, reporting any issues to the appropriate department.Safely replace Mesh and Teflon belts as needed.Adjust machine settings to ensure proper product size and weight.Verify recipes, seasoning, weights, size, and settings according to ERP System requirements during product changeovers.Accurately complete all production paperwork and maintain ERP System records.Record waste accurately and troubleshoot any discrepancies.Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues.Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Participate in food safety and food defense activities.Assist with equipment cleaning and ensure proper reassembly.Essential Skills1-2 years of experience in operating production machinery, including equipment setups and adjustments.Comfortable working with computers and entering data into ERP systems.Basic English or Spanish language skills, both written and verbal.Ability to lift between 30-55lbs consistently.Additional Skills & QualificationsAny food production experience, preferably in a bakery.Comfortable working in a hot environment with temperatures up to 100 degrees.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a food production environment that can reach up to 100 degrees, requiring full gowns, hair nets, and beard nets for hygiene. Expect to stand for 8 hours a day in an area with gluten particles in the air. The company provides hearing protection, and shorts are allowed on the production floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.50/hr.
