**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of production machinery in a food production environment. This position involves working with various machines, including those used for mixing ingredients and starting the production of tortillas for major companies in the United States. You will need to adhere to strict safety and hygiene standards, which include wearing a full gown and hair net while avoiding any items that could fall off and contaminate the food.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and monitor production machinery, ensuring they are running properly.
+ Safely replace Mesh and Teflon belts as needed.
+ Adjust machine settings to ensure proper size and weights of products.
+ Verify and confirm recipes, seasoning, and other product specifications according to ERP System requirements.
+ Fill out all production paperwork accurately and maintain ERP System compliance.
+ Record waste accurately and troubleshoot discrepancies.
+ Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues.
+ Keep work area clean and orderly.
+ Actively participate in food safety and defense activities.
+ Assist the sanitation department with equipment cleaning and reassembly.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience operating production machinery, especially in food manufacturing.
+ Ability to lift between 30-55lbs consistently.
+ Comfort working with computers and inputting data into ERP systems.
+ Basic English or Spanish language skills, both written and verbal.
+ Comfort working in high-temperature environments up to 100 degrees.
+ Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 1-2 years of experience in production machinery operation.
+ Food production experience, with bakery experience preferred.
+ Familiarity with general labor, machine operating, and general production tasks.

**Work Environment**
Work in a fast-paced food production environment that can reach temperatures up to 100 degrees. The role involves handling formula and dough, resulting in gluten particles in the air. Employees wear company-provided protective attire, including gowns, hair nets, and hearing protection, and can wear shorts on the production floor if desired.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.50/hr.
