The position is responsible to operate a variety of equipment in the manufacturing of products for both external and internal customers, producing high quality rod and complex fabrications.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Programs, sets up and operates CNC and manual equipment: swagger, Fenn mill, centerless grinder, saw, punch press, shearing, bending, and spot welding. Collaborates with process engineering in the development and optimization of techniques to improve fabrication processes for internal equipment and furnace assemblies. Inspects and maintains equipment and fixtures in the fabrication work center Inspects material to ensure product adheres to specifications outlined by the production order and notifies the supervisor of any problems and/or material defects. Enters material movements in SAP, completes all associated quality control paperwork and lot traceability paperwork to assure product is clearly tested and identified. Performs troubleshooting and routine preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment. Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition daily by following 6S standard work practices. Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and standard operating procedures to ensure personal safety and high product quality. Cross train in other process areas as time permits.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years industrial manufacturing experience using computer databases and driving a fork truck Previous Fabrication education and experience desirable Requires the ability to follow standard operating procedures and prescribed safety rules to maintain high quality standards and safe working conditions Requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, rulers, and tape measures, as well as basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.  Must adhere to strict environmental and safety rules and identify areas for improvement. Expected to work as part of a team, to make good decisions, to anticipate production problems, and to resolve them with some assistance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT

Pay Range:

$29.99-$37.04

Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.


 

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
