The Re‑Grinder plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring a continuous supply of clean, high‑quality regrind material. This position focuses on safe and consistent grinder operation, maintaining clean and organized salvage areas, and assisting the injection molding department as needed. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment to help maintain smooth production flow.
ResponsibilitiesOperate grinders throughout the shift to maintain a steady flow of usable regrind material for production needs.Conduct required metal detection system tests and promptly communicate issues to shift lead and maintenance when necessary.Identify mechanical concerns and escalate to maintenance or leadership in a timely manner.Complete all required paperwork accurately and submit to the supervisor at the end of each shift.Maintain a clean, organized salvage and regrind area to support safe and efficient operations.Assist injection machine operators by troubleshooting machine issues and covering breaks to support overall department efficiency.Participate in shift meetings and engage in any assigned tasks from supervisors or managers as needed.Essential SkillsAbility to run grinders safely and consistently to produce clean, usable regrind material.Mechanical aptitude to recognize equipment issues and escalate appropriately to shift leads and maintenance.Skill in performing and documenting required metal detection system testing.Ability to operate a forklift safely.Strong attention to detail to prevent resin contamination in the recycling and regrind process.Ability to complete work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining safety standards.Dependability in completing all shift paperwork accurately and on time.Ability to support machine operators in the injection department when issues arise and during break relief.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Preferred but not required: previous machine operation or manufacturing experience.Ability to work safely and quickly, maintaining quality standards in a high throughput environment.Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and comfortable with physical tasks including bending, kneeling, climbing, and extended standing.Required ability to operate a forklift.Good communication skills to coordinate with leads, operators, and maintenance.Consistent work habits, reliability, and ability to maintain organized workspaces.Why Work Here?Employees receive full company benefits effective immediately once direct, with no waiting period.
