Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Machine Operator Assistants. As part of our team, you will work in a dynamic environment, helping to produce top-quality packaging products using state-of-the-art converting equipment. This role offers opportunities for growth and skill development as you learn from experienced manufacturing personnel.

Responsibilities

Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures.Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center.Read and follow order specification documents.Consistently work to develop or enhance skill set.Effectively work with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations.Follow all company rules and policies.Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.

Essential Skills

Must read and write English.Mechanically inclined and able to learn new skills within a standard timeline.Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.Mentally and physically perform at a high pace with a sense of urgency while maintaining company expectations of Safety, Quality, and Productivity.Basic Math Knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.Possess a strong attention to detail.Ability to work overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must be at least 18+ years old.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Must pass a drug screen and physical abilities test.

Work Environment

The work environment includes working on various machines such as a 112” Multiflute Corrugator, 62” Single Face Laminator, and others. You will be part of a smaller crew on weekend and swing shifts, offering exposure to diverse machines and cross-training opportunities. The facility is large, with temperature variations, and requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Weekend shifts run Friday to Sunday from 6 am to 6:30 pm, working 36 hours but paid for 40.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr.
