Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Set up and operate standard production machinery while working under guidance. Carry out maintenance procedures and diagnose equipment problems. Oversee machine performance and make supervised adjustments to maintain quality output. Perform routine product checks to confirm compliance with required specifications. Review and interpret job cards, technical documents, and engineering drawings accurately. Manufacture parts to the required volume, meeting all tolerance and quality expectations. Follow QMS procedures and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area. Support the development of junior operators by providing training and hands‑on assistance. Document production data in MOM, including counts of acceptable units and scrap. Immediately report safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or production interruptions to supervision. Complete additional tasks as needed to support operations.

Strong mechanical understanding with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality work.Consistently follows safety procedures and quality guidelines.Works effectively within a team and follows instructions accurately.Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.Proficient in using standard measurement tools and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in production, electrical, wiring, construction, assembly, and mechanical work.Ability to operate power tools.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled fabrication shop with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts open, Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
