Job Title: Machine Operator.

Responsibilities

Ensure the rolls of plastic bagging materials are running smoothly and filling properly on the line.Perform clean-up processes to maintain machinery and surrounding areas free of debris during downtime.Operate machinery or equipment as trained, always adhering to safety guidelines.Assist the lead operator in preparing for shift production.

Essential Skills

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly.Proficiency in measuring and weighing materials.Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous forklift operation experience preferred.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.Common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.Ability to follow company production and safety procedures.Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.Capability to demonstrate lock out tag out procedures and keep key lock with self at all times.Must attend weekly safety meetings.Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Work Environment

Our work environment is a very large lawn and garden site, where we supply Home Depot with mulch products and top soils. Candidates will be exposed to outdoor elements such as rain, snow, and sun. The manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled and can be dirty and dusty due to the movement and processing of mulch products.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of QUAKERTOWN, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
