Job Description

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the large business and regional jet markets. Responsibilities

Operate numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate aerospace parts per engineering specifications.Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and inform lead person of discrepancies.Perform work instructions excluding setup procedures.Thoroughly inspect first part run.Meet job standard times with minimal supervision.Recognize production problems and inform supervisor.Increase understanding of basic machine language, including M-codes and G-codes.Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using standard measuring tools.Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.Perform miscellaneous duties in the machine shop as directed when supervisor is unavailable for training.Follow all safety guidelines established by the company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Demonstrate a good attitude toward work and arrive on time for start of shift.Properly use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.).Follow instructions and demonstrate strong attention to detail.Communicate well verbally and in writing.Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.

Work Environment

Work in an aerospace machine shop environment exposed to noise and dust. Shift options include DAY: M-TH, 6:00am - 4:30pm; M-TH, 4:30am - 3:00pm; NIGHT: M-TH, 4:30pm - 3:00am; M-TH, 6:00pm - 4:30am; WEEKEND: Fri/Sat/Sun, 4:30am - 5:00pm; Fri/Sat/Sun, 5:00pm - 4:30am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.75 - $27.75/hr.
