**Hiring Machine Operators 1st And 2nd Shift In San Marcos, CA** **Job Description** We are seeking a machine operators to operate and monitor extrusion and cnc machines equipment used to apply hot compounds over cable. In this role, you will set up machines, select and install the correct tooling, load compounds, and ensure precise temperature and diameter settings for a high-quality finish. You will also perform cleaning and changeovers between jobs and materials. **Responsibilities** + Prepare and set up machines, select correct tooling, and load the hopper with the appropriate compound. + Configure temperature settings, line speed, and other critical parameters to achieve specified diameter and finish. + Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment related to extrusion during full production. + Calculate and verify product diameter and tolerances according to work instructions. + Follow detailed work instructions and standard work to ensure consistent product quality. + Use data to make informed adjustments and maintain operational excellence targets. + Perform routine minor maintenance and escalate issues promptly to minimize downtime. + Adhere to all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S). **Essential Skills** + 6+ months of machine operating experience. + Basic ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment. + Proficiency with hand and power tools. **Work Environment** The position is for the 2nd shift (2:15pm - 10:45pm) from Monday to Friday, with optional shifts on weekends.
