**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Overview** We are seeking a skilled **Machine Operator** to run and maintain slitter machines used to cut rolls to precise widths and lengths. In this role, you will set up machine parameters, adjust blades and cores, and ensure all finished products meet strict quality standards. This position is ideal for someone mechanically inclined, detail‑oriented, and reliable in a fast‑paced production environment. **Key Responsibilities** + Operate slitter machines to cut foil rolls according to specified widths and lengths. + Set up machine parameters, blades, and cores based on production requirements. + Inspect finished rolls for alignment, tension, and overall quality. + Monitor equipment, making adjustments as needed to reduce waste and downtime. + Perform routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and equipment checks. + Accurately maintain production logs and documentation. + Follow all safety protocols and promptly report issues or equipment concerns. + Keep machine areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. **Essential Skills** + Prior experience operating machinery or working in production environments. + Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting capabilities. + Ability to understand job specifications and quality requirements. + Excellent attention to detail and solid hand‑eye coordination. **Preferred Qualifications** + Previous experience operating slitter equipment or working in manufacturing. + Familiarity with foil or similar material processing is a plus. **Work Environment** This position operates in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting with active machinery. Team members must follow strict safety procedures, maintain cleanliness around their work area, and be able to perform tasks requiring physical coordination and attention to detail. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Ashland, VA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
