Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator text 8 4 7 5 8 0 2 8 1 4 if interested** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up and run high-speed technical machinery, with a focus on minimizing downtime and setup times. The primary goal is to ensure the production of high-quality products for our customers. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate a high-speed printing press machine. + Work with urgency in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. + Limit scrap waste, deliver waste to the appropriate department, and tag accurately for waste reporting. + Collect top and bottom sheets to expedite the converting process. + Practice lock out/tag out procedures effectively. + Follow reporting processes for accurate completion of production paperwork. + Mount die boards, assist in machine setup, and ensure continuous machine operation. + Read and understand production order copies and assist operators in ensuring quality. + Understand machine mechanical functionality and conduct in-depth cleaning of the press as scheduled. **Essential Skills** + 2 years of high-speed machine operating experience. + Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler, and perform basic shop math. + Experience in a high-speed packaging environment, packaging, and labeling. + Ability to work with urgency without compromising attention to detail and quality. + Comfortable with lifting up to 60 lbs throughout the day. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proven attendance record validated through references. + Drive for results and a strong work ethic. + Ability to work independently with a team-first mindset. **Why Work Here?** Join a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility with a $30 million dollar investment, offering competitive wages and a full suite of benefits. While not climate-controlled, the space is well ventilated, and candidates should expect warmer temperatures during summer. Safety gear, including steel toes, safety vests, glasses, and ear protection, is required. The facility has two main areas: the Converting and Corrugating Departments. Current openings are on the 3rd shift, with plans to expand to additional shifts in the future. Expect to work 8-hour days with potential for 50-hour weeks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
