Job Description
We are currently seeking two highly motivated and skilled Machine Operators to join our team. This role involves setting up and operating metal forming equipment, including operating a cutback saw, stamping presses, and performing changeovers for shear dies. The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting visual and quality inspections using calipers and micrometers, and will be expected to perform basic math and use a tape measure for quality checks. The position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. and assist material handlers with coils and steel.
Weekly Pay with overtime paying time and a half
Will go up to $23/hr. once complete training
Must be open to 2nd or 3rd shift once join the union. Can \"bid\" on desired shift moving forward!

Responsibilities
Set up and operate metal forming equipment.Utilize tools and follow work instructions.Operate cutback saw and stamping presses.Perform changeovers for shear dies.Conduct visual and quality inspections using calipers and micrometers.Perform basic math and use a tape measure for quality checks and operating the saw.Lift up to 50 lbs.Use a tape measure to check the length, width, and spacing of holes.Complete documentation for completed jobs.Utilize a micrometer to measure the thickness of metal.Assist material handlers with coils and steel.Essential Skills
Mechanically inclined with experience using hand and power tools.Ability to read a tape measure to the 16th or 32nd inch.Open to working all shifts.At least 1 year of press operator experience.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Must have metatarsal boot covers.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The work environment involves standing for 8 or more hours per day, and walking off and on for 4-6 hours per day. The job requires occasional stooping, bending, squatting, reaching overhead, and extending arms. Employees are expected to train on the first shift (7 am-3 pm) and must be open to moving to off shifts, which are based on seniority ranking once hired. The facility is very safety-conscious and has gone over 400 days without an injury.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
