Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 12:00am, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating cold heading and thread rolling machines, ensuring high-quality production according to detailed engineering drawings and process control documents. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate cold heading and thread rolling machines with guidance from a trainer or mentor. + Work from detailed engineering drawings, process control documents, and best practices to produce quality parts. + Use precision measuring devices such as micrometers, dial calipers, and optical comparators. + Prepare dies for use in cold heading and thread rolling with shop support equipment. + Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to maintain specified tolerances. + Obtain correct job packets, including routers, part drawings, and specifications. + Access correct bill of materials from the shop floor computer and obtain necessary machine tooling. + Install and remove tooling from machines using hand tools. + Draw new coiled wire using an in-line wire drawer as needed. + Report faulty machine operations, defective materials, and equipment issues. + Maintain proper machine oil levels daily and keep the workplace neat and orderly. + Complete time, production, and quality reports. + Communicate with operators from other shifts to exchange pertinent information. + Observe all safety regulations in all duties. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical and technical skills. + Prior manufacturing experience. + Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gages. + Basic computer skills. + Mechanical ability. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read and understand engineering specifications and work instructions. + Experience with threading and roll forming. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as critical illness, accident, and hospital insurance.
