**Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
Join our dynamic team as an Extrusion Machine Operator, where you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring various production machinery and equipment. **Responsibilities**
+ Set up, operate, and monitor metalworking machines such as saws and other tools to shape and form metal stock into parts or products.
+ Read specifications and notes outlined in work orders and the EPICS system.
+ Troubleshoot and perform corrective actions or minor repairs on saws and stretchers.
+ Conduct daily preventive maintenance checks on saws, including lubrication and blade sharpness.
+ Verify product specifications using calipers and other measuring tools.
+ Input relevant information into EPICS, such as weight and die variances, and update rework/redtag line as necessary.
+ Ensure proper handling and packaging of materials to maintain quality standards.
+ Communicate issues related to poor yield, die variance, and mechanical downtime with Press Leads and the maintenance team.
+ Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles.
+ Collaborate with forklift drivers to ensure materials are available at the workstation.
+ Conduct quality checks for visual and dimensional accuracy and communicate any discrepancies to the press lead.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in saw operation, machine operation, and machining.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and reading blueprints.
+ Ability to understand mechanical processes and operate machinery.
+ 1-2 years' experience in an industrial environment.
+ Basic computer skills, including MS Windows.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma with technical and mechanical aptitude.
+ Extrusion experience is an asset.
+ Familiarity with extrusion software such as EPICS.
+ Knowledge of measurements, tolerances, basic geometry, and numeracy comprehension.

**Work Environment**
Work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with a non-climate-controlled setting. The position is for the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The facility is focused on getting back to full operational capacity.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Cherry Hill, NJ.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $47840.00/yr.
