**Job Title: New Hire Utility Operator** **Job Description** As a New Hire Utility Operator, you will learn to operate equipment associated with the extrusion or tube mill and handle aluminum products. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of the product while adhering to standard operating procedures. The role requires working in a team environment to meet daily production goals. **Responsibilities** + Operate and assist in operating extrusion or casting equipment. + Support the Tube Mill operations on a different shift from the extrusion department. + Ensure all quality objectives are met and report any unusual conditions to lead operators or supervisors. + Train to operate, support, and move materials using lifting techniques and hoists. + Interact with team members and management to meet daily production goals. + Adhere to Union environment terms regarding shift movement and flexibility. + Start as a utility worker, learning various departments, and eventually move to a specific department. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude. + 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or related fields. + Experience in production support, machine learning, and inventory. + Ability to operate hand tools, packaging, and quality control equipment. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to work all three shifts as the Tube Mill rotates. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in machine operation is encouraged. + Interest in learning forklift operation. + Ability to perform physical demands including lifting up to 100 lbs assisted. + Understanding of process flow of raw materials through production. + Ability to work with motorized equipment and perform physical tasks such as bending and pulling. **Why Work Here?** Our company values integrity, a strong work ethic, and welcomes veterans.
