Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machine operators to set up and operate various types of fabrication machinery, including Press Brakes, Lasers, CNC Mills, PEM, and Plasma Cutters. This role requires the use of computers, CAD programs, basic hand tools, and measurement instruments. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with production leads to meet demands and adhere to schedules, inspect production parts for defects and quality standards, and perform routine maintenance on machinery.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate Press Brakes, Lasers, CNC Mills, PEM, and Plasma Cutters.Use computers and CAD programs for machinery operations.Employ basic hand tools and measurement instruments for precision.Communicate with production leads regarding demands and schedules.Inspect production parts for defects and adherence to quality standards.Perform routine maintenance on all machinery.

Essential Skills

Experience in sheet metal fabrication.Knowledge of machine tooling, speeds/feeds, and tooling setup.Ability to use basic measurement instruments to verify component specifications.Proficiency in blueprint reading.Capability to read a tape measure to the 16th.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
