Job Description

We are seeking a Giro Operator to manage packaging operations for produce. This role requires mechanical aptitude, leadership skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Operate Giro packaging machines, ensuring accuracy and quality standards.Lead and guide packing line staff.Maintain organized production areas and manage inventory.Communicate with Production Planner and ensure customer specifications are met.Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs.Complete documentation and reports accurately.Uphold SOP, GMP, and BMP Gold Standards.

Essential Skills

Minimum 1 year of experience as a machine operator.Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Basic math and computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).Highly organized, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with packaging machines is an asset.

Work within a team of 20-70 staff, including roles such as shipper receivers, general labor/production, QC, and picker/packers. Dress in casual clothing, with shifts varying by season: Regular Season (Jan–Jun, Nov–Dec): Mon–Fri, 6:00/7:00 am–2:30/3:30 pm; Busy Season (Jul–Oct): Availability for weekends and late shifts (Mon–Fri 12:00 pm–8:30 pm; Sat/Sun 7:00 am–3:30 pm).
