Job Title: Machine Operator ($17.75/hr.)

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will operate automated inspection equipment, including setup and adjustments, and ensure quality requirements are met using measurement and test equipment. You will be responsible for recording statistical process control data and maintaining a clean work environment. You should possess the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, follow and understand written and verbal instructions, and read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Weekly Pay*

Will get a raise to $19.25/hr. once trained into the union

Responsibilities

Operate automated inspection equipment, including setup and adjustments.Use measurement and test equipment to ensure quality requirements are met.Record statistical process control data accurately.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Perform basic mathematical calculations as needed.Follow and understand written and verbal instructions.Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and written instructions.Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Mechanical inclination and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to read tape measure and use hand/power tools.Capability to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift.Ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours a day.Training on 1st shift may be required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in machine setup, tape measure, screw machine operation.Proficiency with micrometer, calipers, and blueprint schematics.Knowledge in sorting, general labor, packing, and inspection of parts.Familiarity with inspection gauges, assembly, machine operation.Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools and power tools.Experience in fabrication machine shop and inspection.

Work Environment

Work in a large international company with over 100 people in production at the Medina, OH site. The environment is a manufacturing setting that is not temperature-controlled and can be hot in the summer. Employees must wear steel toe boots, safety glasses, and earplugs. The facility houses modern manufacturing equipment and personnel, producing components for various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and military. Training can take 1 to 4 months, starting with smaller machines.

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
