**Job Title: Machine Operator** Job Description We are seeking a skilled machine operator who will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of presses with up to 75-ton capacity, manual lathes, and other equipment to produce deep draw formed products to specifications. Responsibilities + Operate press shop equipment, including specialized manual lathes, air, pedestal, and centerless grinders, belt and disc sanders, forklifts, and wood saws. + Setup and operate level B press shop equipment such as hydraulic presses up to 75 tons, parts washers, vibratory machines, and other cleaning equipment. + Operate foot shears, manual and air. + Setup and operate die sets and use precision measuring hand tools to verify conformance of parts to specifications. + Visually identify defects and build wood shipping containers. + Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards and perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Experience with machine operation and mechanical troubleshooting. + Ability to read schematics and drawings. + Proficiency in using a tape measure and understanding of blueprint reading. + Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Candidates with previous lead or supervisor experience will be considered for higher pay rates. + Desire to train long-term to become a department lead with a focus on soft skills and teamwork. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
