A manufacturer in the Eastern Indianapolis region is seeking dedicated machine operators to join their team on the 2nd and 3rd shifts.
ResponsibilitiesOperate various industrial machines simultaneously, handling up to four machines.Utilize basic hand and power tools for tooling changes.Use quality instruments to ensure parts meet specified quality standards.Perform repetitive manual lifting and push materials throughout the department.Ensure accurate documentation of materials and batch numbers as per guidelines.Maintain the ability to withstand heat and remain on feet for 8 to 12 hours.
Essential SkillsProficiency in machine operation.Experience with hand and power tools.Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints.Experience with mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and CNC operations.At least 1 year of machine operating experience and a consistent work history.
Additional Skills & QualificationsComfort with working in a hot environment.Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends with prior notice.

Work Environment
The work environment is clean but can be hot, depending on the department. The facility is expansive, spanning 1 million square feet. Employees are expected to participate in a structured training program on the 1st shift for approximately 12 to 15 weeks before transitioning to their respective shifts. Shift hours vary with a shift premium for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Overtime may be required, with advanced notice given for any Saturday work.
