**Job Title: Machine Operator** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attendance record, be mechanically inclined, and possess experience in industrial or manufacturing settings. The role requires the ability to work on your feet for the entire shift and flexibility to adapt to multiple shift times. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Responsibilities + Operate up to three extrusion lines simultaneously, perform tooling changes, and complete necessary paperwork. + Add shipping labels and operate a forklift. + Engage in thorough training to complete a book required to earn raises. + Perform tool changes, die cleaning, and grade own rejects. + Stack profiles on carts or bundle them in boxes, ensuring proper stacking or packaging. + Verify piece count for carts and boxes. + Monitor extrusion rate and profile configuration. + Maintain a supply of compound staged at the machine and assist in moving carts when necessary. + Clean profiles and work in the tool honing department to clean and refinish used tooling. Essential Skills + Strong machine operation skills. + Proficiency in using hand tools and performing assembly tasks. + Experience in general labor, construction, and production environments. + Ability to use a tape measure and perform inspections. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required. + Ability to read, write, and understand English. + Basic math skills. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work Environment The work takes place in an enclosed manufacturing facility that is hot in the summer and cold in the winter, with heaters provided during the colder months. The facility operates three shifts: 8 AM to 4 PM, 4 PM to 12 AM, and 12 AM to 8 AM, with no official breaks. Employees inform supervisors when they need a break. The facility operates seven days a week with shifts typically scheduled for five days on and two days off. The environment is clean and typical for manufacturing settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jeannette, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.35 - $18.60/hr.
