A leading manufacturer in the Eastern Indianapolis region seeks multiple skilled machine operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, where you'll play a crucial role in the manufacturing process.
ResponsibilitiesOperate various industrial machines, handling up to four machines simultaneously.Utilize basic hand and power tools to change tooling effectively.Use quality instruments to ensure parts meet specified quality standards.Perform repetitive manual lifting and push materials throughout the department.Ensure proper documentation of materials and batch numbers according to guidelines.Endure a hot environment and remain on feet for 8 to 12 hours at a time.
Essential SkillsProficiency in operating machinery and using hand/power tools.Mechanical aptitude and experience with machine operating.Ability to read and understand blueprints and perform mechanical assembly.Experience with calipers, press operating, laser operation, and troubleshooting.At least 1 year of machine operating experience and consistent work history.
Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to withstand hot working conditions.Mechanical inclination and familiarity with CNC operations.

Work Environment
Work in a large, 1 million sq ft facility that maintains a clean yet hot environment depending on the department. The role requires standing for extended periods during shifts. Training occurs on 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for approximately 15 weeks. Post-training, shifts are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM for 2nd shift and 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM for 3rd shift, with overtime potentially required. Employees receive a shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
