Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. This role offers an amazing shift with built-in overtime and a three-day weekend every week. There are two openings: one for the 1st shift from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 6 PM, and another for the 3rd shift from Monday to Thursday, 6 PM to 6 AM.
Responsibilities
Review work orders, product specifications, and special instructions to ensure a thorough understanding of production requirements.Assist in loading and setting up machines in accordance with instructions.Follow specifications to mix chemical/adhesive solutions as specified in work orders and safely pump solutions into machines.Monitor the production process closely to quickly identify any quality issues. Stop production immediately if problems are detected and alert the appropriate personnel.Operate up to two machines competently and assist in operating additional machines as needed.Follow all instructions given by machine operators or the production manager and ask questions when necessary.Identify finished products accurately with part numbers, work order numbers, lot numbers, and other required information.Identify equipment problems and inform maintenance or the production manager.Make suggestions to improve quality, efficiency, safety, or communication.Verify that the final product meets quality standards and product specifications.Follow all safety practices and immediately correct or report unsafe conditions. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.Essential Skills
2 years of machine operating experience.2 years of manufacturing experience.Ability to read and write English.Ability to follow written work instructions.Experience working on 2nd shift.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
Our facility specializes in manufacturing coatings and adhesives for products like non-slip walkways, skateboard friction tape, and emergency exit signs. The Lake Bluff location is where mass production takes place. The facility uses large machines, roughly the size of a semi-truck trailer, and has a strong chemical smell due to the adhesives produced. Employees should be prepared for an industrial work environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
