Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Die Cutter Operator to join our sanding department. The candidate will assist machine operators by punching large rolls of sandpaper into smaller pieces for grinders and other tools. Operating the die-cutting machine efficiently is a key responsibility, and you will be expected to work at a fast pace, assisting operators with packaging, labeling, palletizing, and other tasks as needed.
ResponsibilitiesAssist machine operators in the sanding department.Operate die-cutting machinery to punch sandpaper.Work with HMI and CNC machines, handling materials up to 35 lbs.Monitor machinery, calculate measurements, and document product details.Shrink wrap final products and prepare them for shipping.Learn to pull orders, use the inventory system, and stage products.Assist with packaging, labeling, and palletizing tasks.Essential SkillsPrevious machine operating experience, preferably with a die cutter.Experience in manufacturing and working on a production schedule.Ability to work closely with team members to complete tasks.Attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive lifting.Proficiency in computer use.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious perfect attendance records are highly valued.Flexibility to cross-train for long-term opportunities.Experience in order selection, inventory management, and shipping.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The plant is not climate-controlled but features large fans for cooling. The typical shift is 6 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for early starts or overtime during summer months. The plant adapts to individual schedules and rarely requires extensive overtime. The small loading dock area has two bays, and the environment can be cooler in winter when the dock doors are open.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PETERSBURG, Virginia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
