Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for performing advanced production activities on all saws, including vertical and horizontal types. You will review work orders, select appropriate materials, and position workpieces for processing, often operating a combination of different saws. Your role involves determining processing specifications and ensuring that all operations conform to quality standards.

ResponsibilitiesChoose correct material for the job according to work order.Position workpieces for processing and operate various saws.Determine processing specifications such as materials, location of cuts, sizes, and tolerances.Install and align cutting blades or other fixtures using hand tools.Adjust controls to set cutting speed, depth, and feed rates.Operate saws during processing as required.Measure and examine pieces using precision instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.Perform In Process Quality Inspections and ensure compliance with AS 9100 quality control standards.Clean equipment according to maintenance procedures.Diagnose problems, make necessary adjustments, and remove scrap from machines.Coordinate and execute material handling and restock materials.Complete work order paperwork/documentation.Mark identification on material/work pieces before and after processing.Adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year of machine operation experience.1 year of warehouse experience.Proficiency in machine operation, saw operation, and material handling.Additional Skills & Qualifications0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.High School diploma/GED preferred.Experience in warehousing and material handling preferred.Experience in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting saws preferred.Experience with overhead crane operation preferred.Manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination.Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.Basic measurement and arithmetic skills.Basic computer proficiency and software knowledge.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.Ability to make sound decisions based on knowledge, experience, and judgment.Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work hours are 1pm – 9:30pm from Monday to Friday, with initial training during the day shift, transitioning to a swing shift starting in 2026. The position operates in a non-climate-controlled warehouse focused on aerospace quality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fife, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
