**Job Title: Machine Operator**
Job Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating molding, machining, casting, and other manufacturing machines. This role involves rotating to operate various machines and processes, placing proper inserts on the mold table for forming, and filling and packing boxes with sand while working in a warm environment. The operator uses hand tools to remove mold and trim flash from parts according to work orders, conducts visual inspections of parts for any flaws or defects, and stacks and palletizes all products for quality control. The position requires lifting up to 100 lbs throughout the day and may occasionally involve operating a forklift. Quality control and careful machine operation are crucial at all times.
Responsibilities
+ Operate molding, machining, casting, and other manufacturing machines.
+ Rotate to operate on various machines and processes.
+ Place proper inserts on the mold table for forming.
+ Fill and pack boxes with sand in a warm environment.
+ Use hand tools to remove mold and trim flash from parts according to work orders.
+ Conduct visual inspections of parts for any flaws or defects.
+ Stack and palletize all products for quality control.
+ Lift up to 100 lbs throughout the day.
+ Occasionally operate a forklift.
+ Ensure quality control and careful machine operation at all times.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in machine operation.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
+ Understanding of production and manufacturing processes.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ General labor, assembly, and machine operating skills.
+ Knowledge of construction, fabrication, concrete, and carpentry.
+ Material handling expertise.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 12 months of machine operation experience or related field.
+ Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
+ Familiarity with open production environments.
+ Must wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
+ Adherence to dress code: no shorts or cut-off sleeves.
Work Environment
The work environment is an open production space that is warm in the summer. Employees must wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses, and the dress code prohibits shorts and cut-off sleeves. The environment supports safety and provides opportunities for advancement.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
