**Machine Operator** We are seeking dedicated machine operators to join our team working on bag making lines. This role involves loading machinery with spools of paper, prepping rolls, gathering and setting up print plates, measuring hot melt, and setting up machines based on orders. Operators will be responsible for running machines, unclogging jams, performing minor troubleshooting, adjusting machinery, checking for defects, packaging orders, and verifying orders and pallets. **Location** Alsip **Hours** 5am - 5pm 5pm - 5am **Job Description** + Load machinery with spools of paper. + Prep rolls and gather print plates. + Set up print plates and measure hot melt. + Gather materials and set up machines based on orders. + Verify orders and run machines. + Unclog jams and perform minor troubleshooting. + Adjust machinery and set up/changeover machines. + Check for defects and errors. + Package orders and wrap final orders. + Verify orders and pallets. **Essential Skills** + Manufacturing experience. + Machine operating or assistant experience. + Experience with setups or changeovers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working with paper, corrugated packaging, bags, or cartons is a plus. + Experience working on or around FFG or die-cutting lines is beneficial. **Why Work Here?** There is ample opportunity to advance within a very profitable company that collaborates with major clients, offering a rewarding career path. **Work Environment** The facility is well-maintained, organized, and features multiple production lines. It is cooler during winter and warmer in summer, with machinery focused on producing paper bags and their handles. The role requires constant standing and walking for 12-hour shifts, and involves physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and performing repetitive motions. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.21 - $20.21/hr.
