**Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled machine operator to operate and maintain production systems efficiently and safely. You will ensure product compliance with FDA-GMP and SQF standards, contributing to the seamless execution of our manufacturing processes. **Base pay is $20/hr, but scales depending on extrusion experience up to $25/hr** Responsibilities + Operate the **mix** system, **extrusion** system, dryer, cooler, and transfer system to ensure product compliance. + Adhere to and understand FDA-GMP's and SQF standards in manufacturing areas. + Perform daily start-up, shut down, and clean-up of the extrusion operation. + Maintain the mix system, ensuring minor ingredient feeders are running full, recording lot numbers, discarding empty boxes, and keeping the mix platform clean. + Operate heating/cooling systems, liquid tanks/pumps/meters, and understand HMI and PLC functions. + Clean, maintain, and set up extrusion dies and knives, and operate the cooler/dryer and transfer systems. + Monitor product quality and report deviations to the Production Supervisor. + Maintain housekeeping of machine and plant area, including sweeping floors, removing trash, and preparing for the next production shift. + Complete paperwork accurately and concisely. Essential Skills + Basic knowledge of hand tools. + Mechanical aptitude and ability. + Experience in a manufacturing environment. + Extruder or machine operating experience. + Computer/PLC experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with production line operations is beneficial. + Familiarity with GMP and food production standards. + Experience in batch mixing and inspection processes.
