Job Description
As a machine operator, you will be responsible for operating food mixing, blending, and packaging machinery to support a food manufacturing facility. You will ensure compliance with all safety, health, quality GMP, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain food mixing, blending, and packaging machinery.Set up and troubleshoot packaging machines and manage changeovers.Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards.Regulate machine flow or speed.Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.Essential Skills
3+ years of experience in mixing, blending, and/or packaging machine operation and GMP.Ability to complete machinery changeovers.Ability to speak Spanish.Ability to lift 50 lbs (applicable for blending roles).Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in troubleshooting machinery.Mechanically inclined.Ability to assist maintenance team with PMs and minor troubleshooting of machinery.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is clean and smells like a coffee and bakery shop, maintaining GMP standards. The facility is equipped with gravity-fed high-speed packaging equipment, primarily handling dry goods like powders. It is well-lit with ample space. This role is for the weekend shift, requiring work on Sundays and most Saturdays, with two days off during the week based on production. The shift hours are from 5:30 am - 4:30 pm for the first shift and 4:00 pm - 3:30 am for the second shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
