**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** This position is located in Gaithersburg. The Additive Technician - 3D printing is responsible for the daily operation of Additive Manufacturing machines, post-processing of 3D built parts, and shop maintenance/cleanliness. The technician must excel in fast-paced environments with an attention to detail mindset. **Responsibilities** + Operate Additive Manufacturing machines such as EOS SLS, Stratasys Fortus 450, Stratasys 900, PostPro3D Vapor Smoother, Prusa i3Mk3s+ desktop FDM, and Stratasys Connex machines. + Handle powders, including blending to meet shop specifications and executing SLS build breakouts. + Remove support structures from FDM printed models using manual methods or soluble baths. + Perform post-processing tasks such as drilling holes, tapping holes, installing inserts, installing helicoils, dyeing, sanding, and bagging and tagging finished products. + Maintain and clean the shop regularly. + Utilize ERP systems as part of daily operations. **Essential Skills** + Experience in assembly and/or manufacturing. + Knowledge of mechanical functions. + Experience using hand tools. + Blueprint reading skills. + Basic math skills. + Computer skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a machine shop or CNC is a plus. + 3D printing experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** This is a long-term opportunity with a growing company that is expected to double in size over the next five years, offering promotion opportunities. Dress code includes jeans, shorts, plain shirts, and closed-toed shoes. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gaithersburg, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
