**Job Title: 3rd Shift Machine Operator** **Job Description** The Machine Operator is responsible for managing the processing lines of food products, including entering recipes into the computer system and verifying numbers to ensure proper operation. The role involves performing quality checks, managing change overs, and completing necessary paperwork. Change overs require scraping dough out of bins, and regular quality checks on dough are essential. **Responsibilities** + Manage processing lines of food products and ensure proper operation. + Enter recipes into the computer system and verify numbers. + Perform quality checks and manage change overs. + Complete necessary paperwork related to processing and quality assurance. + Scrape dough out of bins during change overs. + Ensure compliance with quality procedures tied to food safety, including PRPs, OPRPs, CCPs, and FSMA requirements. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift up to 50lbs and remain comfortable on feet for entire shift. + 1+ years of experience in production or food manufacturing. + General working knowledge of computers. + Understanding of production process, food production, and quality checks. **Work Environment** The work environment is warm, averaging 80 degrees and occasionally reaching upwards of 100 degrees. Operators spend 30-40% of their time in an air-conditioned control room but must be comfortable with hot conditions. The shift is from 7 PM to 7 AM on a rotating basis. While working on the production floor, temperatures range from 85-95 degrees, and the dye wash rooms are wet. The dress code includes jeans/work pants, steel toe boots, with no jewelry or piercings allowed. Necessary safety attire such as hair nets, beard nets if applicable, hard hats, and lab coats are provided. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
