Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with experience in CNC machinery to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machines such as a Fin Punch Press and Expander, ensuring the production of quality parts through consistent and efficient use of metal working equipment. You will use blueprints and router information to accurately set up tooling and machines, and perform daily preventative maintenance tasks.

ResponsibilitiesOperate metal working equipment to consistently produce quality parts.Use blueprints and router information to set up tooling and machines accurately.Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks.Safely use electric, pneumatic, floor, and hand tools.Identify and tag unsafe equipment using lock out/tag out procedures.Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.Understand and apply knowledge of math and fractions.Troubleshoot machinery and change out dies.Maintain labels on materials including type, gauge, width, and weight.Secure materials on pallets, segregating them from other part numbers.Essential SkillsExperience with CNC machines and punch presses (2-3 years).Proficient in troubleshooting and changeovers (2-3 years).Knowledge of blueprints and tape measure usage.Skilled in using hand and power tools, measuring tools, press brake, mechanical fabrication, and machine setup.Ability to perform inspections and machine operations effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsActive team member participation in continuous improvement activities.Understanding of basic math and ability to read tape measures and blueprints.Ability to safely use tools once instructed on correct use.Capability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The production facility is a clean, safe, and climate-controlled environment. You will work in a heavy team-oriented setting, where collaboration is encouraged both within the department and across the facility. This position operates on a 2nd shift schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
