Job Title: Utility Operator

Job Description

Utility Operators are responsible for learning to operate equipment associated with the extrusion or tube mill and handling aluminum products. Candidates will be trained to operate, support, and move materials both on and off machines utilizing lifting techniques and hoists, while following safe job practices, standard operating procedures, and meeting quality requirements.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the Tube Mill operations, working a different shift than the extrusion department.Ensure all quality objectives are met and assist operators in extrusion or casting equipment.Report and review any unusual conditions to lead operators or supervisors.Work in a team and interact constantly with team members and management to meet daily production goals.Adhere to the terms of the Union regarding shift movement and flexibility.Learn all departments as a utility worker before transitioning permanently to one specific department.Operate machinery, quality check, pack, inspect, and support production processes.Essential Skills1-2 years of experience in general labor, production support, and machine learning.Experience in inventory management, manufacturing process, assembly line, and machine operation.Proficiency in production or material handling, assembly, hand tool use, packaging, and general production.Experience with forklift operation, inspection, quality control, and machine operating.Ability to perform quality checks and assurance using tape measures and press machines.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.31 - $20.31/hr.
