Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. You will operate various advanced machines, including press breaks, saws, drills, turret punches, lasers, and shears according to standard operating procedures. This role demands expertise in setting up, programming, and calibrating machines for production runs, troubleshooting complex issues, and performing quality checks on parts and assemblies.
ResponsibilitiesOperate various machines at an advanced level, adhering to standard operating procedures.Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs, ensuring configurations meet product specifications.Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains.Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet all standards and customer specifications.Train and mentor less experienced machine operators on advanced machine operation and troubleshooting techniques.Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs, production workflows, and equipment performance.Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance, and any corrective actions taken.Follow and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.Adhere to lean manufacturing guidelines, providing continuous improvement suggestions for gained efficiency.Essential SkillsExperience working with sheet metal, including cutting, pressing, and punching to strict tolerances.Expertise in CNC-driven machine operations.Strong knowledge of machining techniques, including precision manufacturing and CNC operations.Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Strong leadership abilities, with experience training and mentoring junior staff.Commitment to quality control, safety, and continuous improvement.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification or associate degree in machine operation, engineering, or related field preferred.5+ years of experience in machine operations, preferably in press breaks, turrets, lasers, and shears.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility, Friday to Sunday from 5am to 5pm with a 10% shift differential. Training required Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm for one week. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch as required. Climbing a portable ladder may be necessary. Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required, and good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
