**Hiring for Machine Operator** 1st and 3rd shift - 12 hours - direct hire **Job Description** The Machine Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the setup, operation, changeover, and maintenance processes of flexographic printing presses. This position requires the ability to follow directions from the Press Operator, retrieve and stage ink and plates, and maintain cleanliness by emptying waste bins as needed. The role adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).. **Responsibilities** + Assist in the setup and operation of flexographic printing presses. + Support the changeover and maintenance processes. + Follow directions from the Press Operator. + Retrieve ink from inventory and stage ink and plates. + Empty waste bins and maintain cleanliness in the work area. + Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical aptitude and background in manufacturing. + Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. + Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). + Ability to read a ruler or tape measure to 1/32 of an inch. + Effective communication skills and willingness to learn new skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in machine operation and general production. + Mechanically inclined with experience in printing and inspection. + Ability to differentiate colors. + Familiarity with hand tools and press machines. **Why Work Here?** This facility offers an excellent team culture with little to no turnover, providing clear paths for career progression. The role involves 12-hour shifts with options for day or night schedules. Day shifts operate from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while night shifts run from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Safety shoes and prescription safety glasses are encouraged and reimbursed after six months of employment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Rock Hill, South Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $38188.00 - $43680.00/yr.
