Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

The Machine Operator position is an entry-level role designed for individuals interested in learning and training on the fundamentals of machining operations. This role involves setting up and operating a variety of CNC and manual machines to produce precision parts under the supervision of certified machine operators. The goal is to obtain certification within 120 days while adhering to established standard work practices.

ResponsibilitiesLearn how to set up and operate precision manual and/or computerized machining centers according to standard work.Learn how to adjust machine feed/spindle speeds and change tooling and cutters per machining requirements.Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.Understand and follow quality testing techniques and learn to inspect products using precision gauges and measuring instruments.Demonstrate proficiency in manufacturing documentation and labor transactions.Support and comply with all rules, guidelines, and standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions.Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process and safety-related activities.Work extended shifts or overtime as required by the business, including some holiday hours.Essential SkillsMachine operationLathe and mill operationCNC operationUnderstanding G&M codesInspection using precision gaugesReading blueprints and specificationsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School DiplomaUS CitizenshipProficient in English speaking, understanding, and readingAbility to learn how to read blueprints2+ years of previous manufacturing experienceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a large, orderly, clean, and organized production facility. The role includes working various shifts: 1st Shift (6am - 2pm), 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm), and 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Carroll, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
